Trust — it’s at the heart of every high performing team.  

But what is trust? That question can get…. quite tricky.

Why? Because trust means different things to different people.

For some, trust begins with competence — you do good work, you deliver results then I trust you. That’s task based trust.

For others, it begins with connection — I get to know you first, then I trust you – relationship trust.

Something to try this week:
Ask three people “What does trust mean to you?” Their answers might surprise you and spark new ways of thinking about how your team builds trust.
